As a meteorologist the position requires working weekends, substituting for evening or morning meteorologists and during severe weather as needed. You will also work as a multi-media journalist who can shoot, write, edit and present weather or other news stories that are clear, factual, creative in their approach and show human interest.

We’re searching for a personable communicator who can report, shoot and edit news stories and be trained to operate our live trucks. Photographer’s responsibilities include shooting and editing news stories, newsgathering, attending news events as a “one-man-band” where questions must be asked and information gathered. Duties also include operating our live truck and editing in the field, shooting packages to be delivered by other staff and collaborating with reporters on stories.

WEEK/WHOI & WAOE are the NBC, ABC and My TV Network stations, together producing nine newscasts per day. We operate in a fully digital plant with the latest ENPS, Ross Overdrive and Panasonic P2 digital field gear.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of reporting and anchoring experience and be able to cover a variety of assignments. We are looking for a strong writer, someone with sharp news judgment and the ability to work well with others.
